Designing and Delivering a UK-based Flagship Centre

We understand that updating spaces has to align with cash flow, budgets and future goals. However, a complete transformation to support the needs of your staff, clients and business can offer many benefits, such as aligning with your brand’s image and values, boosting staff morale and productivity, elevating customer services, and positively promoting your business.

The Brief

We were approached to plan, design and install a central, flagship site for a large international food manufacturer. Our client required multiple spaces with set functions, such as boardrooms, an open-plan call centre and factory offices. Creating synergy throughout the spaces to reflect the company’s brand and values, and showcasing their sustainability efforts.

The Problem

This project had a set turnaround of eight weeks. This included site visits, planning and design, and furniture procurement for several areas, including open-plan offices, manager offices, director offices and board rooms. We also had to consider factory offices, changing rooms and breakout areas for employees.

With multiple areas to install, a lot of site planning was required to ensure a smooth delivery and installation. We had to be extremely clever with the space, opting for streamlined furniture that comfortably fitted 80 users within one of the office spaces.

The Solution

Aligning with the client’s colours, green and white, we purposely choose furniture to mirror their brand. Not only does this create a sleek, modern look, but also provides consistency between the rooms. For example, the interior décor, easy-to-clean high and low green and white chairs in the canteen, and white desks with green partitions within the call centre.

The call centre also includes slimline, bench desks with allocated drawers and cabinets for additional storage, as well as connection points for monitors, phones and essential technology. The boardroom proudly showcases a large table and comfortable chairs, ready for team meetings or client visits.

Throughout, we’ve carefully positioned furniture to optimise the space, offer comfortable collaboration and breakout areas, and provide a bright and welcoming working environment. Most importantly, we’ve supported our client’s green credentials and used recycled carpet tiles, energy-saving solutions and second-hand furniture where possible.

The Outcome

We’re incredibly proud of this project. With so many rooms to bear in mind in terms of functionality and décor, we feel we’ve really delivered on our customer’s brief. These core spaces provide essential furniture and assets essential for each department, helping promote a productive environment. Feeding the company’s colours throughout ties each space together and offers a bold, professional first impression to staff and visitors.
