The Brief

This local client needed to create more space. Not wanting to leave their current premises, they asked for our professional advice on expanding their existing office to incorporate a dedicated area for packaging. However, they also wanted to maintain the traditional feel of the beautiful brick building while incorporating a modern interior design.

The Problem

Our main issue was ensuring the room’s new layout provided both a stylish aesthetic to reflect their brand and to hold a functional use. Their request to incorporate both modern and traditional meant we had to think outside the box to fulfil their brief.

The Solution

After a site visit and understanding the specific purpose for the new space, we believed the best solution was sectioning one end of a large room to create a dedicated packaging area. We choose to install a seamless silicon-glazed partition, stretching from floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall. This provided the contemporary look the client requested, complementing the traditional feel of the building. Using a silicon-glazed panel allowed natural light to flood into the packaging area.

The Outcome

By redesigning the layout and purpose of one room, we’ve created two practical spaces for our client. The silicon-glazed partition provides privacy for both areas while maintaining a light and airy environment — a bold but cost-effective solution to crafting more space within your existing premises.
